Until we realize as a nation that #KKK and #BLM are nothing more than forms of segregation and start working together because #ALM then we are going to keep going backwards in America. A friend of mine said recently, "We have made a complete 180 in this country and we are marching backwards as though we are moving forward." That statement hits it right on the head. We are rapidly marching back into the 1950's and pretending that we are progressing. We made huge strides in eliminating racism in the 2nd half of the 20th Century but now we seem to miss it and want to go back. Not all of us want that but it is happening. Just think about how far we advanced since The Civil Rights Act of 1964 which outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The racist attacks in Charlottesville, Virginia today have sparked an onslaught of arguments on social media.  When I was growing up in the 70's and 80's we were past racism like this.  We had moved on from the hate of the 50's and 60's when the KKK and Black Panthers were at their peak.  Now, here we go again.  This storm started to stir again 4 or 5 years ago.  This time with white supremacists and Black Lives Matter.  Why?  Because people started being offended by everything.  Today's protests started because some local governments are trying to destroy American heritage and memorial monuments.  I don't mean to sound like an old grandpa but these things didn't happen when I was younger.  We didn't agree with everything that happened in American history but it was still history and was to be preserved.  I'm a southern boy and proud of my heritage.  Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't the south that was racist, it was democ...

     Everyone is arguing about health insurance these days and most don't even understand what they're arguing about.  There's a reason for that.  This is a complicated mess.      Before Obamacare (ACA) our system was set up so that the poor had Medicaid, the elderly and disabled had Medicare, and the people still in the workforce could purchase their insurance from whatever company they wanted to within their state.  Of course, a lot of people also had insurance through their employers.      So, who are the 22,000,000 people that Democrats say will lose insurance if we repeal Obamacare?  Are they the people that can work and get their own instead of using taxpayer money?  Are they the people that don't even want it but are being mandated to buy it?  Who exactly are these people?  The truth is that 16,000,000 or 73% don't even want it.  They have it because their only other choice is to pay a fine ...

Well, I turned on the news during my morning coffee as I always do, and they are once again debating the question: Do we call people here illegally 'illegal aliens or undocumented workers'?  We shouldn't even need to ask this question but let's break it down once and for all. Illegal - Contrary to or forbidden by law. Alien - Belonging to a foreign country or nation. Undocumented - N ot recorded in or proved by documents.
